Glenda Lindberg is the editor of Truth About Kratom. Glenda Lindberg is a retired anthropologist who spent the majority of her working life in Southeast Asia, first as a field researcher and later as a consumer advocate focused on botanical products. She now applies both halves of that career to one job: giving kratom consumers the inside story of an industry that rarely explains itself.

From Fieldwork to Advocacy

Glenda's research career centered on the region where kratom actually grows. Her fieldwork took her through the farming communities, processing operations, and export markets of Southeast Asia across several decades. That vantage point produced a specific kind of knowledge: how leaf becomes product, how regional names get attached to harvests, and how far marketing labels can drift from what happens on the ground. Consumers rarely see that distance. Closing it became her second career.

How Glenda Works

Anthropology trains a researcher to verify before repeating. Glenda applies three working rules to every page she edits:

1. First, read the primary source — the statute, the study, or the lab certificate — before writing a word about it.
2. Secondly, consult people closer to the evidence. Glenda collaborates with chemists, legal researchers, and industry professionals, and credits reviewers on the pages they check.
3. Finally, publish the unprofitable truths. A consumer resource earns trust by saying what vendors will not.

Why This Site Exists

Kratom consumers navigate untested products, invented strain names, and laws that change at state lines. Kratom information online is dominated by vendor content written to sell. Glenda built Truth About Kratom as the resource she kept wishing existed: independent, evidence-first, and written on the consumer's side.
